Factory Fans & Cooling
Factory fans work the same hours your shifts do, because process heat does not take breaks. Large Down Under Fans HVLS fans keep air moving over people and lines all day for a few hundred watts, with no gearbox and no maintenance schedule.
Circulation, stated honestly
These fans move air, they do not extract it. If your process needs fume or dust extraction, that is a ventilation engineering job and a fan on the ceiling is not a substitute. What an HVLS fan does is keep air from stagnating over hot plant and hot people: a steady floor-level current that reads several degrees cooler at the workstation and evens out the hot spots a production floor builds around machinery.
The motors are permanent magnet direct drive. No gearbox oil, no belts, no scheduled service, which matters on a floor where every maintenance window costs output. Speed is variable per fan, so the line-side fan can run harder than the packing end.
Placement follows the heat map of the floor rather than the floor plan: over assembly benches and line-side stations first, clear of crane rails, sprinkler clearances and extraction hoods. Where product is light enough to move in an air current, the fan mounts to the side and washes the area rather than blowing straight down on it.
Sized for production floors
Factories buy from the top of the range: the 5m covers 500m², the 6.1m a full 1,000m², and the 6.7m is rated to mount up to 14m on the manufacturer’s figures for high-bay buildings. Voltage is 220 to 240V single phase or 380 to 460V three phase, configured to the site at quote time.
