There’s something unmistakable about a space that’s been lit well. The warm glow of globe lights across a backyard. The amber hum of a rooftop bar at golden hour. That feeling is what Festoon House was built around.
Founded by Matt Little, Festoon House started with a simple frustration: the decorative lights available to Australians weren’t good enough. Cheap products, poor weatherproofing, and lights that gave up after a single summer. We set out to fix that.
Every product we carry is commercial-grade, genuinely outdoor-rated, and built to handle the Australian climate. Our LED shatterproof globes are modular, long-lasting, and backed by a 2-year warranty (double the industry standard).
Today we’re trusted by homeowners, hospitality venues, event companies, and electricians across Australia, all looking for lighting that performs as well as it looks.

Matt has spent more than 10 years working hands-on in the lighting industry, with a particular passion for events and hospitality. Over that time, working alongside venue managers and event planners across Australia, he kept running into the same problem: the decorative lighting market had no reliable, long-lasting commercial-grade solution.
So he built one.
Working closely with lighting designers, architects, and industry leaders, Matt developed the Festoon House product line — commercial-grade decorative lighting designed to withstand the harsh Australian outdoors without compromising on finish or feel.

As our in-house lighting designer, Alex is the person customers turn to when they want to get it right. Whether it’s a backyard transformation or a full venue fitout, he brings the technical knowledge and creative eye to help translate a vision into something that actually works.
